1. PROTECT THE "ALBUFERA": More than 4000 metres of depurated water end at the lagoon each year. This injection of clean water of Pinedo favours the maintenance and regeneration of its fauna and flora.
2. INCREASE THE WATER QUALITY FOR THE IRRIGATION:
More than 15.000 anegadas of rice and irrigated region have been watered with
depurated water of Emarsa since 1985. After this date, the irrigation water
that circulated by the irrigation ditch and arrived at crop fields didn't
get any treatment. Farmers consider the purified water to constitute "a
guarantee that they water with clean water and, furthermore, with vitamins".
Well, is avoided the operation of the acuiferos
3. REUSE THE MUD IN THE AGRICULTURE: Mud causes
over the crops a similar effect to a usuall mineral fertilizer. Mood is equal
to the traditional manure, but its origin is human not animal. The farmers
of about 60 towns of the Valencia province have been fertilizing theirs citrus fruits,
fruits and vineyard with Pinedo's mud since 1997. 130.000 tones of mud, which
is extracted from the purified process of the residual water in Emarsa, have
been used in agriculture since this date. This substance is the best for whatever
type of plants.
4. DRAIN THE BEACHS AND THE COST LINE: Beach has
been receiving purified water of Emarsa since 1991, date was started to work the Emisario Submarino. Before this, the "black
water" arrived at sea without any type of treatment. Year after year,
a sensitive improvement in the quality of the sea water has been observed.
It is considered the sea water to be good for the bath by the European Union.
5. GENERATE ELECTRIC ENERGY: Mud in its digestion
produces methane gas that is used in the Pinedo's Waterworks to get electricity.
This electricity provides part of the energetic necessities of the treatment
plant.
2. Increase the water quality for the irrigation
3. Reuse the mud in he agriculture
